You can make change happen by getting informed, educating your friends and showing your passion about local issues. Educate yourself about the issues facing our community today – hunger and homelessness, “at-risk” children and families, and access to healthcare for seniors and persons with disabilities, and speak up on what you would like to see improved: write a letter to the editor, call your elected officials, or talk to a neighbor. Any one of these actions will help to raise awareness in your community.
