Public Notice: Federal Funds for Emergency Food and Shelter Phase 39 and ARPA-R Supplemental

MERCER COUNTY AWARDED $171,527 IN FEDERAL FUNDS UNDER THE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER NATIONAL PROGRAM – EFSP PHASE 39 

MERCER COUNTY AWARDED $530,131 IN FEDERAL FUNDS UNDER THE EMERGENCY FOOD AND SHELTER NATIONAL PROGRAM – EFSP PHASE ARPA-R SUPPLEMENTAL 

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION OF AGENCY APPLICATIONS IS Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Late submissions will not be accepted.

Notice is hereby given to all interested parties that the Mercer County Local EFSP Board will accept applications from local organizations for funding of (1) emergency food, (2) shelter, (3) utilities, and (4) rent/mortgage assistance. Funding is for eligible agencies only, not individuals or families.  This is not FEMA funding for disaster relief.

Applications and further information may be obtained on the UWGMC website – www.uwgmc.org/EFSP – or by contacting the United Way of Greater Mercer County at (609) 896-1912 x4918.  Individuals or families may not apply.

Under the terms of the grant from the National Board, local government or private voluntary organizations that are chosen to receive funds must: (1) be nonprofit, (2) have an accounting system, (3) practice nondiscrimination, (4) have demonstrated the capability to deliver emergency food and/or shelter programs, and (5) if they are a voluntary organization, they must have a voluntary board.  Qualifying organizations are urged to apply.

Application for funding must be returned via the online application (www.uwgmc.org/efsp) or by email with subject: EFSP Phase 39 Application [Organization Name] to: John.Santana@uwgmc.org

Applications will only be accepted through Tuesday, March 1, 2022, at 1:00 PM. Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
